Last Friday evening, the Eurobase People and Eurobase team came together to take part in the Thames Moonlight Walk, a 10-kilometer charity event supporting CHESS Homeless.
Walking the 10 kilometers in just over two hours (2 hours and 13 minutes), we enjoyed beautiful weather and saw some amazing scenes throughout London.
Managing Director Paul Springall, who was one of the volunteers, shared his thoughts on LinkedIn:
"Wonderful evening with the Eurobase team on Friday, taking part in the Thames Moonlight Walk to raise funds for CHESS Homeless.
"To say we lucked out weather-wise would be a huge understatement, and we made the most of the experience watching London turn from day into night in front of our very eyes!"
We are proud to support CHESS Homeless, a local charity that provides shelter and assistance to those in need.
Special thanks to Lynne from CHESS for cheering us on, and to everyone who donated and shared our JustGiving page.
We also extend our gratitude to CHESS Homeless and our amazing Eurobase volunteers who helped raise funds for such a worthy cause.
Well done guys!

We’re excited to announce that Eurobase People have been shortlisted for three Recruitment & Employment Confederation awards!
The annual Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) Awards is the UK’s most prestigious event for recruiters. This year, the REC Awards will take place on Thursday, 21st November.
The team is delighted to share that we have been shortlisted in three categories. Nominations include:
- Spencer Yeaman, nominated for Best Newcomer in Recruitment
- Harry Cook, nominated for Agency Star of the Year
- Eurobase People Delivery Team, nominated for Recruitment Team of the Year
Once receiving this great news, Managing Director Paul Springall shared his congratulations, saying:
"Naturally we are absolutely thrilled to receive these nominations, and a huge congratulations goes to all of the individuals involved in this success.
“The REC Awards consistently highlight the great and the good within our industry, so to be recognised in such competitive categories is something we should all be very proud of, especially after some of the challenges we, and the industry, have faced over the past 12-18 months.
“I’m sure it will be a fantastic evening and I’ve got everything crossed that we can make it third time lucky after coming so close to winning an award in the last two years!”
In the past two years, we’ve had two nominations for Best Newcomer in Recruitment, and this year, passing the buck and hoping for success is Spencer Yeaman. Spencer took to LinkedIn to celebrate his achievement, saying:
"It’s an honour to be nominated and it would not be possible without my great clients, candidates and of course team around me (who have also been nominated for “team of the year”) who have made this first year in permanent recruitment a real pleasure!
"I would especially like to thank Rees Price, Ian Ayres and Paul Springall for the support throughout this year, hopefully I will be able to bring the award home as testament for this!
Harry Cook, nominee for Agency Star of the Year, also shared his excitement on LinkedIn, saying:
"I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition, and although it’s often said, I truly have the people around me to thank for this achievement.
"Starting my recruitment journey in June 2022 was definitely a scary experience, especially coming from a background in carpentry.
"But the constant support from my team—Ian Ayres, Paul Springall, Jonathan Bone, John Curmi, Adam O'Keefe, and many more—has made this all possible."
As we prepare for the big night on November 21st, we remain hopeful that this year might be our time to shine!
We have our fingers crossed for a successful evening for Eurobase People!
