3 Months + Nottingham (90% remote) - £500pd Inside ir35
The ideal candidate should have in-depth expertise in SAP Financials and Controlling modules and a strong understanding of S/4HANA Functionality. You will be working closely with key business stakeholders and users to analyse their business processes, understand their needs, provide functional solutions, and contribute to their successful delivery as well as supporting business as usual operations.
Working collaboratively with developers and architects, you will help to develop the SAP platform and its integration within the systems landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work with the client team to understand their needs and map them ideally to Best Practice SAP S/4HANA FICO functionalities.
Provide leadership in all phases of the Finance projects lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, and post-implementation support.
Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers and colleagues of the ERP Team, ensuring that all relevant documentation is prepared and approved to ensure knowledge is shared, retained and leveraged.
Document configuration rationale and execute configuration of SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, and Financial Planning.
Perform Change Impact Assessments to ensure the appropriate action plans for data migration, testing and training are created and executed during projects.
Perform Functional Unit Testing, Integration testing and support acceptance testing as part of the continuous change/project lifecycle.
Conduct end-user training sessions and create documentation for users and support teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after implementation, providing timely and effective solutions.
Stay current with SAP advancements and updates, ensuring the organisation is leveraging the latest features and functionalities.
To be successful you will have:
Proven experience as an SAP FICO Consultant on S/4HANA in at least 2 full lifecycle implementations (Brownfield or Greenfield).
In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FICO modules and integration points into the SD/MM/PP/QM/IM Modules.
Excellent understanding of financial business processes and controlling principles.
Proven experience in gathering requirements and configuring SAP FICO modules according to need and best practice.
Familiarity with data migration strategies and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
SAP certification in relevant modules is a plus.
Knowledge of UK Local Government.
