6 month Contract - Glasgow (Onsite) - £550-600pd (Inside ir35)
Report to the Service Delivery Managers
Tech Leads will be required to fulfil as a minimum the roles as defined in the “Lead Applications Software Administrator” role specification in the UKA Career Framework.
Tech Leads will be responsible for providing pre sales input into the change process.
Tech leads are responsible for the technical integrity of the applications and services within the one or more application groups for which they are accountable.

Tech leads will be responsible and accountable for ensuring that support staff (UK and Off shore) within the Application Groups for which they are responsible have the required skill sets in order to provide a comprehensive support service for the applications within these groups. This will include providing peer to peer training, and arranging courses where necessary. The objective is for the Support staff to be in a position to support the service and applications using their knowledge, skills, available documentation and colleagues to support the service and applications without the direct involvement of the Technical lead.
Tech leads are responsible for ensuring that the onshore resources are working effectively with the APAC resources to provide a single seamless application support service for the applications within their responsibility.
The Technical lead is responsible for ensuring all documentation related to the Service and Applications for which his Application Support group are responsible, exist, are maintained, are accurate and available. (List of documentation required)
The Technical Lead is the Application Support Team technical expert for each of the services and applications within the responsibility of his Application support group. The TL will keep themselves up to date on the product road map, developments within the defined products, issues, how the business uses the services and applications, limitations, Infrastructure and external requirements.
The Technical Lead will attend any meetings which require technical knowledge of the services and applications for the OBS’s for which the Application Support group he is response for, support.
The Technical lead will ensure the product/Service Road maps are kept up to date and liaise with vendors and supplier where the details are no forthcoming, or missing. The Technical road map should have an accurate view of the next 12 months and a visionary view for the next 2 years.
The Technical Lead will be responsible for updating the monthly currency report with details of any risks or issues related to any differences between the current install product versions and patch levels.
The Technical leads will perform any activities required of them by the Service Delivery Manager or Senior Service Delivery Manager.
The Technical lead is responsible for ensuring that the Applications, prerequisite software and software layer (eg Jave, .NET) for which they are accountable are patched to the correct level, using information from Suppliers and the reports generated by the Performance and Currency Analyst.
